this is the worst book I have ever read

I started it and thought for the first couple of chapters that it was going to be a great book. I quickly realized it wasn't. I put it down and read something else, but I hate leaving books unfinished, so I returned to it. Torture may be a strong word, but it really was a chore to finish this. What could have been a powerful, insightful, suspenseful and fun novel turned out to be anything but. In the end it was lackluster and, frankly, quite hokey.

Imagine this as Indiana Jones in spiritual quest.

Took me a little bit to get invested, but once I did, I couldn’t put it down!

This book is one of my all-time favorites. I have gifted it to so many people! The profound wisdom that is contained within the story that Redfield tells is unbelievable. The plot is filled with mystery, danger, and intrigue. It touches upon some very important spiritual teachings that could really help a lot of people if they are open to changing their perspective about the way the world works. It is a great companion book for any spiritual seekers that are just beginning to understand the laws of the universe. I cannot recommend this book enough, read it and see for yourself!

this book only sucked slightly less than the movie.

ummmmmmmmmmm. I don't know what to do with this. I listened to the whole book thinking it was a true story, rolling my eyes bc it just wasn't totally believable. At the end I discovered it was fiction. I'd like to re-read it, making notes on what he says. Some of what he presents are thoughts I've had that I'd like to hold onto. Like treating each moment and interaction as if it's supposed to happen and is part of a step in becoming more of you. Several part of the book felt quite sexist with the very clear presentation that woman need to be saved and protected, will wilt at touch. Gross.

How I rate books:
5 Stars= I absolutely loved it, felt very moved. Extraordinary. I rarely give this rating.
4 Stars= Well done
3 Stars= I enjoyed it but wasn't wowed. My most common rating
2 Stars=Meh
1 Stars= The kind of book that I feel shouldn't have been published bc it might discourage some from becoming readers.

Interesting to re-read this. It's a good reminder that we can all be more intentional and that the energy we put out into the world gets magnified.

i loved this book as a teenager, but after rereading it years later, it just seemed a bit too hokey.
