Unforgettable. “You do not make yourself love. You allow love to enter you.” “Whenever people cross our paths, there is always a message for us. Chance encounters do not exist.”

When this came out EVERYONE read it. I enjoyed it and I remember thinking that it was unusual for such a popular book as it had lightly sketched characters and the plot was one straight line. Yet, it worked for him.

I stole this from my husbands nightstand. It took me a bit to get into, but I had a hard time putting it down after that!

Amazing - the kind of book that makes you think so much more about human interaction and the choices we make/have no control over.

This is the kind of book that has made me prejudiced against "best sellers." It's so terrible that I didn't even finish it, which is significant, because I virtually NEVER fail to finish a book, no matter how much I dislike it. The concept itself is not bad. In fact, I rather like it. But the book is written so poorly that it's insulting to the reader. Literature is art, and this book is the literary equivalent of dogs playing poker.

I can appreciate the insights or main takeaways from the book. I can’t get past the storyline feeling forced or the dialogue being robotic.
