Cute and filled with word play, cheesy jokes and Private Eye cliches, this was a fun little story. I'm not going to rush out and read them all - I assume that most of the books in this series are similar - animals with fun little mysteries that get solved by the end.
I think this would be particularly appealing to the upper elementary set who love mysteries, animals, and humor. There are a few pictures that set up the story and characters that are fun to look at, but the main charm of this book is the smart aleck Chet Gecko and his trusty companion Natalie Attired.
Nothing noticeably objectionable.
