Working for an author where part of the job is to take a roadtrip with a sexy cover model...ummm...YES!

Well, that wasn't exactly the reaction Olivia Carpenter had when her employer, author Rachel Meadows, told her she would be driving the cover model, Maverick Kingston, around in the car for two weeks during her book tour.

Olivia is familiar with the type of men who grace the covers of romance novels and Maverick is well known as a playboy. After their first meeting and he arrives late, her opinion doesn't change and the thought of driving him from location to location because he refuses to fly only helps to infuriate Olivia further given her tight schedule for Rachel on the tour. She doesn't need some arrogant, cocky playboy messing up the job she loves all because he can't listen to directions. How Rachel expects her to babysit the man without losing her mind should earn her a big, fat raise, yet Olivia knows that would also be a miracle knowing how Rachel doesn't notice things like how hard she works.

Maverick finds great joy in annoying Olivia. Her prissy schedule is the first thing that needs to go because she is entirely way too uptight for most of the two week trip. He likes to live his life easy-breezy and Olivia is anything but and no matter how Maverick tries to loosen her up Olivia is wound up tighter than an anyone he's ever met. However, on the rare occasions when he catches her with her prissy hair down, Maverick finds himself intrigued by the girl underneath the constant schedules and routine and he actually really, really likes her. He likes both sides to the woman and the more time they spend together the more he realizes he wants more.

When the trip finally comes to an end what will Olivia and Maverick decide when the rules of the road...trip no longer apply?

A sweet, enemies to lovers novel where I hope that not all PA's are actually treated like Olivia were.

Loved it! I loved the addition of book conventions because I’ve definitely been missing going to those with SIP. Very quick and fun read. I loved the story and how it all went together!

3.5⭐️ I found this on Spotify. The narrators were great! This is a cute quick listen. This was fairly low on drama and angst.

Olivia was kind of irritating. She was so uptight and also kind of a doormat for her boss. She was so judgmental regarding Maverick but got butt hurt when he called her out for having a stick up her ass. Thankfully after spending time with him, she did start to enjoy life somewhat. She was still so closed off for so much of the book.

Maverick was an ok guy for pretty much the whole book. He was never awful to Olivia, even if he did purposely irritate her just so he could get a reaction (she made it so easy.) I think he was supposed to appear like a playboy but once he had eyes on Olivia, he never really indulged another woman. He was also so supportive of Olivia and was willing to go more than the extra mile for her.

I’m not sure if this was enemies to lovers (the enemies part was one sided) or insta-love… maybe a bit of both. Their HEA was sweet and I did think they were a cute couple.

Forced proximity
Enemies to lovers
Workplace
Road trip

Maverick and Olivia have no choice but to spend a lot of time together. They have to road trip to a book signing for Olivia's boss and Maverick is the cover model who doesn't like to fly. Nothing goes to plan since Maverick doesn't want to follow strict guidelines and Olivia is one to write a timetable fo every minute. The two combined just don't work.

Maverick helps Olivia loosen up and shows Olivia how she can set some healthy boundaries with her boss who absolutely takes every liberty under the sun. It's excellent seeing Olivia become easier on herself and she also helps Maverick release he's more than just his good looks. I much preferred these two to Ethan and Vada, they came across much easier to relate to and their relationship didn't come across as forced.

It was humourous and sexy all in one.

Miss Priss and the Playboy

Falling For The Playboy was loaded with sass and laughter. I loved the dynamic between Olivia and Maverick. Complete opposites - one owning their feelings while the other tries to deny them.
Another fantastic read by Kennedy Fox.

I loved this one . You can consider this the second in the series but so far I think this one is the best one. Shy keeping to herself doing her job is what Olivia does best. She works extremely hard at her job. Maybe a little to hard but that all changes when she has to road trip with the hot model that is on the cover of her boss's books. This will take you on a wild ride with Olivia and Maverick at the wheel. What could possibly happen? I loved the chemistry, the banter, the sexiness between these two. Amazing from beginning to end. Wanted so much more from these two. Kennedy did amazing with this one.Definitely recommend reading this one.
