This read like a wattpad story from 2014. I didn't connect to any of the main characters and the writing style was a bit meh for me.
I really struggled. Slowly got better but it felt incredibly shallow to me. There wasn’t much captivating until towards the end.

BEAUTIFUL!!! i love that for the most part it makes me can’t decide if i want them together or not. i love the yearning, the confusion, the PAIN. i love how intense miles loves. my only complain is that the resolution feels too fast and rushed it might be nice to be one or two chapters longer but oh well, i guess this works perfectly
I had a hard time with the arrangement. Tate knew from the beginning she wasn't able to follow the rules and I think girls romanticize that type of relationship and think they can change a person. Most often real life is not like the books, it doesn't go your way.
Other than that I really enjoyed the flashbacks and I adored Cap. I want an old man to man my elevator and give me advice.
Overall not a bad book, just not the greatest.

Very quick read but hateeeeed the message/takeaway! Stick around long enough and you’ll get proposed to within 6 months and the guy will resolve all his demons and you’ll live happily ever after???

No. Just no. What the fuck is this and how does someone even come up with something so ass. Like I can’t. I hated reading this book, worst experience of my life. I honestly don’t like majority of Colleen Hoovers books because they just contain 75% smut and 25% actual romance and cuteness. Which is awful. And not to mention that the smut isn’t even good. But this book just took my dislikes for her writing to another level. Like this is not real this is not relatable and if it is to you then I feel sorry for you. Miles is so gross and he’s not a kind soul and i get the trauma part but I’m sorry he is honestly just annoying and not kind. And when they talk about their sons balls? WHATTTT. That is so foul and nasty I cannot and will not. I want to burn this book ngl. Also to add a tad bit more, Miles and her relationship was not heathy whatsoever it was the most toxic shit I’ve seen in a while. He literally assaults her at one point and you guys are romanticizing this. It’s not even funny and I can’t understand how anyone can move on from it and enjoy the book.
