Each time I thought I had the story or characters figured out there would be a twist. It was a quick read that sucked me right in.

Oof.

I'm thankful I spent only a dollar on this at a library sale. I've read an Anonymous Girl before, and even though that wasn't my favorite, it was slightly better than this one. (I gave it 3 stars.)

For me it was too boring to be considered a thriller. Predictable, even. At the end of part one there's a twist that didn't leave me satisfied or surprised. There's not a bunch of shocking moments towards the end. One "twist" at the end seems like it was thrown in for the lack of twists throughout the novel. This literally felt like a domestic drama, however, it wasn't that engaging. I'm sure other writers have done it better.

I'm not going to spend too much time into reviewing this one, but I don't think this author duo works for me.

I really wanted to like this book. I mean it was good. But a few too many twists. I didn’t like how it kinda switched from 3rd to 1st person.

The description says it best, assume nothing. Initially, you'll assume it's only about a jealous ex wife, and you'll be wrong. The twist is fantastic and caught me so off guard, I took my self back a chapter to make sure I didn't miss a thing. For my taste, the progression of the story did move slowly, bouncing back and forth in chapters I felt it wasn't always moving the story forward. Nevertheless, still was very invested in finishing, and the epilogue made my jaw drop. Don't skip it!

This was wild. At first I thought something was wrong with Vanessa but as the story unfolds it turns out that she was well aware that her husband was having an affair, I was like why on on earth would you stay with him but that's not only it, she had a plan. She couldnt get out of this marriage easily since Richard could easily hurt her. While everyone thought she was going crazy she managed at the end to show Richards true colours,he turns out to have a traumatic past but then again that shouldn't allow you to behave this poorly like the fuck. Interesting twist at the end too,the assistant turns out to be the daughter of Vanessa's ex.
