I’ve been thinking about this series for a few days. The series overall were very fun, interesting world, lovable and diverse characters. My favorite book from the series is still book 1 but I liked that the last book expanded the world, and revealed a bit more about the enclaves and what it’s like to live in the outside world.

The series had a few shortcoming like the constant internal mono logs by El when she was about to go in and do something epic. It slowed the pace of the book and became a bit frustrating especially in Golden Enclave. Furthermore,
Ophelia, I really don’t get her. What was her plan? The book said she was trying to make the enclaves share but she should have known the moment El showed up that her enclave war plans were over. I really don’t get how she thought El would just leave her do what she wants. Also, how is Orion’s father ok with his mother killing him as a baby and making a monster out of him… there was no addressing of it…
. These few plot holes kind of made the ending of the series a bit dissatisfying for me.

However, overall the series were great, especially if you’re craving something magical school associated with an interesting world. There are not that many magical school books to begin with.

P. S. I think Scholomance would make an awesome video game!

This book feels like putting together the missing pieces into a puzzle; it's a satisfying ending to a masterfully written series.
I have only one controversial take that cost the book the 0.25 star:
I decided that Orion Lake needed to die.
