The characters!!Allison is a wonderful smart, capable heroine. She is a single mother fighting to raise her son in the best way possible. I loved the principles she instilled in him. His ability to see people for who they are.Allison was hurt in the past and was reluctant to start a relationship and be vulnerable again, especially with a man in Barrett's position, but I was proud of her courage in following her heart and giving Barrett a chance.Barrett was a wonderful character. He is the kind of politician we want in real life. He had to fight to remain true to himself and his beliefs and didn't just have his eye on the end game. He wanted to get elected to make a difference to better people's life, and I admired him for it.Allison's son was another great character. He was mature for his age, had his mother's back and supported her decision to give Barrett a chance (even if he Barrett couldn't throw a ball to save his life).

I loved the moments between Allison and her son. I loved seeing him support her, his acceptance of Barrett and the whole Landry Family .I enjoyed Barrett's interactions with his mother. She supported him and encouraged him to follow his heart and gut.

Ugh could not get into this one? The writing was so slow and the whole single mom trope bores me - meh

The book was find. I am just not a fan of single mom romance tropes and I just couldn't really get into the story. I wasn't really feeling the chemistry. Again this is just my opinion.

So good. This is my first book buy Adriana Locke but it won't be my last.

I went into this book blind. I didn't know anything about it. I was just in need of a read and this pop up in my Kindle Unlimited recommendations. I'm so so so happy I read Sway. It has great characters (Barrett Landry has my vote), steamy scenes (all I'm going to say is grapes), and heart.

I'm really looking forward to reading more from this series.

I always look forward to reading a story by Adriana. Love her writing style. There is a special way of bringing the story alive from the first page until the end. Love to see the journey of all the friendships of the characters. Fun to learn more about all of the side characters.

I've been waiting for Sway by Adriana Locke and she once again has written a funny, suspenseful, sexy story! There's some baseball, some politics, some love, a lot of family and a great little kid! Barrett Landry is the Mayor of Savannah and he's running for Governor. He's on the fast track to the White House so he's trying to cool his playboy image until the election. Alison is a student, single mother and waitress who meets Barrett while serving drinks. Yes he's gorgeous and charismatic, but no, she doesn't fall at his feet like all the other women in town. She's not going to get involved with another public figure. Her ex almost destroyed her life and she won’t do that to herself or her son again. Barrett isn't used to women saying no. He doesn't know how to react and being the confident male that he is, he responds with a crude remark and an inappropriate assumption. Alison isn't going to give in. She's attracted to him, but she's smarter than that. If he really wants her, he's going to work for it. Alison has to decide if taking a risk and being with Barrett is worth the media attention. Is love worth the risk? How do you know when it's real? I loved this story for more than just Barrett and Alison. Don't get me wrong, they are funny, hot and sexy together. But Huxley is awesome, and Linc and Graham are just yummy. I loved meeting this family and I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

"I take it back. That's the one I want," she breathes, her jaw hanging open. "My God. Those men have genetics that need reproduced and I volunteer for the job."

"What if it's all wrong?" I ask.
"What if it's all right?"
"What if we mess this up a million different ways?"
"What if we nail it every way we go at it?"
