So good. This is my first book buy Adriana Locke but it won't be my last.
I went into this book blind. I didn't know anything about it. I was just in need of a read and this pop up in my Kindle Unlimited recommendations. I'm so so so happy I read Sway. It has great characters (Barrett Landry has my vote), steamy scenes (all I'm going to say is grapes), and heart.
I'm really looking forward to reading more from this series.

Hopelessly romantic
Alison already had one high profile relationship that ended in disaster and she was not looking for another. Her son was her only priority. That was until she met Mayor Barrett Landry and was instantly attracted to him. Although it is a political roller coaster both end up with a HEA that is completely swoon worthy. I enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it. I cannot wait to read more in this series.

Sway is the first book in the Landry series by Adriana Locke. Although part of a series, it could be read as a standalone. Just be warned that some spoilers will be present in the next one due to intermingling characters.
I really enjoyed this novel. It flowed quickly without any long, drawn out pages. It felt real and I appreciate Adriana's strong female leads. A divorced mom of one is protective of her child and her future. She acts like most women in her situation would react in regards to introducing a new man to her son.
Barrett has it all and works hard for what he has. He was depicted as a willful man full of doubt and I love being able to see his transition.
Well thought out plot and storyline and I can't wait to dive into the next one. A definite happily ever after and I highly recommend this light, quick read.

This series tends to rush the getting to know/falling in love and then just puts tons of dumb obstacles in the way. But I keep reading them (albeit out of order). Makes for great reading challenge padding and that's about it.
Oh how loved this story! Barrett Landry was something else! His persistence, his thoughtfulness, his dirty words...Sway is the perfect title because boy did I swoon for him.
And holy mother of fruits, I seriously will NEVER look at grapes the same! Adriana Locke knock me off my feet with that one.

To begin, I have loved every book that Adriana Locke has written. Sway was no exception! I loved the complexity of Barrett and his political career. Don't get me wrong- the love story was phenomenal, but like the najority of romances, you know where it will end. But the political subplot (is that the word I'm looking for?) kept me on my toes. I didn't know what Barrett was going to do and that certainly spiced up the predictability. I loved that Alison was a hard-working mother who was always thinking in terms of what was best for her 10 year old son, Huxley. And what a wise, strong young man he was!
Meeting each of the siblings, getting to know them, and understanding the dynamics of a large family was a definite highlight. As someone who comes from a large family, it's always interesting to compare the siblings and their roles to my own family.
I'm truly looking forward to Swing- Lincoln's story. He was a surprise throughout and I can't wait to get to know him better, and catch up with the entire Landry family!

Not the most original plot out there but considering the past 8 2-3 star duds I've read, this is impressive.

A sexy side. A sweet side. Yes, the main character in Sway is a politician and he deals with his fair share of controversy but this book is so much more than that. It has everything; laugh-out loud banter, swoon-worthy moments and just enough angst to make this a well-balanced contemporary romance. Oh, and some VERY HOT moments. I will never look at grapes the same way again.
