Okay, so let me preface this with, this was required reading for school. My criminal justice senior seminar class is on race and crime and we read this for that.

This book is a nonfiction account of suburban teenage drug dealers. The author interviewed them and discussed the various reasons for their dealings and the consequences of their dealing.

I don't think I liked the book persay, but it was interesting. I found all the people discussed to be dripping in privilege and racism. They were white middle class teens from the burbs who sold drugs to be cool. They have no understanding of the realities of dealing for inner city folks.

Would I recommend? Yes actually. Like I said, I didn't really enjoy the book, but I don't think its meant to be enjoyed. Its meant to educate I think.
