Incredible tone. Baudy humour and disturbing body horror. Politically fascinating, in terms of the broader questions which arise, while being ideologically ambiguous. Nothing quite like it.
Stopped reading as I heard there was graphic scenes of animal abuse which I don’t really want to read about. gave 2.5 cause what I had read up to that point seemed well written and I liked the metaphors and jabs at the government at the time.
Great political satire poking fun at Bolshevism and the shortcomings of man. Very witty, but can’t say I enjoy the victim being an innocent dog hence two stars off.
