Convincing, interesting, literarily appealing.
I enjoyed with what ease and conviction the narrators switched, that it felt just right for the story and was able to tell so much.
At times I was given "Flowers for Algernon" vibes (the bad kind, where I'm sad), but thankfully the style of narration kept it above being flooded with only that overwhelming pity one might feel for the main character.
Poligraph Poligraphovich, Telegraph Telegraphovich – I love this kind of silliness in name invention.

Brilliant satire of the ealy soviet period. That's probably why, written in 1925, it was published in the USSR only in the late 80s. As Bulgakov would say "manuscripts don't burn" empires, apparently, do.
