Book 5 in Crystal Kingdom by Milly Taiden
Wren is a cousin of the original characters at the start of the book series. She’s a secret romance writer but is a journalist in her day job.
Wren and her cousin go to Crystal Kingdom to see her family something goes terribly wrong and they get separated.
Xeno is a recluse he thinks his people hate him and he’s stayed in shifter form for a long time but that all changes when he meets Wren.
I was worried when I read blurb for the next book in series after we got past the original characters were different characters introduced but as always I should never second guess MT. this has become one of my favourite series

What if shifters and magic were real? Wren McClure, journalist by day, romance writer by night has contemplated that question many a time. When attempting to go home Wren and her cousins are misdirected to a dimension where shifters and magic are real but so is the danger that goes with it. Wren is a whole lot stronger than she knows and this story is going to prove it to her and anyone who has ever questioned it. Sexy alpha men, hot sex and magic. This is a total vacation for the mind.

As a fan of Milly Taiden and having read all of her books, I was looking forward to this book which is the latest installment in The Crystal Kingdom series. As always Ms Taiden didn't disappoint me as I find this book engaging, fast pace, humorous and very sexy. I enjoyed the banter between the 2 MCs as well their interaction with the secondary characters. Ms Taiden is well known for her rich imaginative world building and in this book we see how she has expanded it further.
