Not into it. Really liked the quick cameo by Hisako but otherwise I think I am done with this series.

I was slightly concerned that this comic wouldn't be able to match the brilliance of the previous story arc. While it was a tough act to follow, this second story arc was still great. I didn't care for the introduction of a washed up third string former child heroes, I felt like it took away from the Runaways, and their character development.

Otherwise this continue to be a fun and fresh-feeling comic.

Overall I am still liking this series a lot, but I didn't like this volume quite as much as the other ones. I don't like it when characters are dumbed down temporarily in order to further the plot, and that happened a little bit here. But I am always down with cyborg characters, so that made me happy.

Better than the last one, though the beginning was still a bit flat. Victor seems like an interesting addition to the group.
And I still can't buy the Gert/Chase relationship, Gert calling Chase stuff like "Honey" or "Darling" just feel so out of character from her, and I don't understand why they like each other.
Nico is doing a good enough job as the team leader, but she does not seem as fit for the job as Alex was.

The series improves significantly here, although it is still nothing to write home about. The characters remain static and mostly uninteresting, and the point of the whole series still escapes me, other than as a guest showcase for forgotten C-list young superheroes from Marvel history. Now, back in the day I collected the first issues of Darkwing, or Darkblast, or Darkguy or whoever that guy was who appears in this volume, but I can't imagine many people clamoring for his reappearance. Throw in one of the Power Pack kids (who at least likely had some legitimate fan appeal), Turbo from the New Warriors (I read New Warriors but ???), some other unknowns, and you take away pages from the main crew who could honestly use some more screen time. If they had only included Speedball then all would be forgiven.

I am very concerned about the youngest of the pack, who really really needs to go back to school, because she is like 10 years old and quite dumb even for her age.

Darkhawk. It's Darkhawk. It just came to me.

New adventures for our Runaways and an old enemy returns. MS/HS
