Decided to finish my last Arthur Conan Doyle book. I genuinely enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I was going to. It’s my favorite out of the four I own and have read. This is also the only one that has been able to each 4 stars! That’s exciting. But, it’s definitely not necessary to read these books in order. I accidentally read the third novel first, and it did not make a difference whatsoever.
Not sure if I would recommend these books. It’s easy language and easy to follow along, but I love Sherlock Holmes and I didn’t enjoy these books that much. If I could go back, I probably wouldn’t read them, but I did enjoy my time with Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.
This fourth novel from the work of Conan Doyle is a real gem of English literature from the beginning of the last century. We follow with wonder the intellectual progress of the main protagonists, and we feast on the intrigue. In addition, within this story, we again meet Holmes' rival, Professor Moriarty.
