DID NOT FINISH: 48%

Thank you NetGalley and Atria for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I had to put this one down at 43%. I was intrigued by who was leaving the music, but I wasn’t emotional invested in the characters. I didn’t “hate” this book but any means. I just wasn’t super excited to pick it up and keep reading so I knew it was them to choose something else.

A friend did end up telling me the full story and it sounds beautiful, so it’s very possible this is a “me” problem.

I did not expect to love this as much as I did!! This was such a beautiful story with the most lovable characters. I thought this story approached grief with such care and respect. This was more of a story of Natalie growing and starting her new life than it was a romance honestly! I loved the way the romance played into Natalie’s personal growth. Such a hopeful story that made my heart feel so full.

Loved it. A story about grief, friendship, and finding love after loss. The main character’s grief was tangible in this book, and the last few chapters were sad, heartbreaking and also hopeful. I was expecting a light romance, this was much more than that.
