The story was amazing really peaked my interest in Greek mythology. The idea of the almighty Zeus allowing 4 demi-God's to have full control over the earths elements and linking the destruction caused by the elements of today's world to 4 jewels that linked all of the elements together in a balance setting which was broken apart is breath-taking.

The only downside of the story was that it felt drawn out until the last 5 or so chapters where the pace seemed to flow perfectly and brought the story to a conclusion. At times it felt like the story came to a couple of stationery points mainly where the reason why the jewels were broken up in the first place as that part of the story was told a few times. I found this book easy to put down and walk away from as it did not grip me from the start until it came to the ruby which was the second jewel which was over half way into the book.

The story is amazing as long you have the patience to stick with it. It was a book that I enjoyed reading even though I have just ranted about the story stop and start pace.
