Scoring With Him by Lauren Blakely is book 1 in the Men of Summer Series focusing on Grant Blackwood and Declan Steele. Both men are baseball players for the same team and meet during Spring Training. The attraction between these 2 is pretty much instant. MM romance is not my typical genre but the storyline, writing style, and depth of the 2 main characters is just fantastic. These 2 do their best to resist but can you resist what feels so right? Grant and Declan each have their own demons from their pasts. Watching them deal is just heartwarming because no one should endure what they have faced. Lauren Blakely is one of the best writers when it comes to between-the-sheets action. I mean just flat out amazing. Yes, these men are baseball players who are quite handsome but you do not need to understand the game to appreciate the story. If MM romance is your thing then you will enjoy the story for sure. If you are unsure about this genre I encourage you to give this author along with Grant and Declan a chance to change your mind. Keep in mind this is book 1 in a 2 book series. There is lots of action in book 1. I completely enjoyed book 1 and am anxiously awaiting book 2 to see if Declan and Grant find forever love or will they let it slip through their gloves? I received an ARC/ALC in exchange for an honest review. *****

Sometimes it’s all about the timing, with her usual style and flair Lauren Blakely has given us a emotional story of two men who weren’t looking for anything and then stumbled into something.

Baseball is Grant’s life, and now with an opportunity to play in the big leagues everything seems to be falling into place, what he wasn’t prepared for was to be playing with someone who under any other circumstances would be perfect for him.

Take this journey through the beginning of Grant and Declan’s relationship, see where it started and how it progresses. But don’t look for a HEA at the end of this book as it’s part one of a two part series, so there is a cliffhanger of sorts. Don’t fret though because part two will be here in August, and that’s not too far away!

Lauren Blakely writes with her heart and you can feel it whenever you read one of her books. Do not miss out on this one!

I absolutely loved this book to pieces. The chemistry between both MC, combined with the way they talk and their growing attraction, was so perfect. I practically inhaled it the first time. And then that ending and I just couldn't continue reading the rest of the trilogy.

Fast forward a few months later and I just had to finally get over myself and finish the story so I could get to their HEA. So I ended up rereading this and loving it just as much as the first time around. And this time I immediately picked up the next one because this end seriously made me way too sad, because Declan and Grant are perfect together.

Holy smokes Grant & Declan's chemistry is OFF THE CHARTS! They have such a good dynamic and I was so here for it. They are both total sweethearts but also so so damaged from their pasts. Also this book left me on a CLIFFHANGER so I'm going to go start book 2 right now because I HAVE TO KNOW what happens next for these two!!!

I’m getting tired of mlm romances having too many smut scenes and very little plot. It gets BORING! The only thing that was interesting/refreshing was having a virgin male athlete lead.

I needed a little Grant & Declan in my life today. Beware of the cliffhanger so you’ll have to pick up all the titles in the series!
