The colored illustrations in Superman: For All Seasons drew me in. I wasn't overstimulated like I sometimes am by colors in graphic novels. The blend of soft and hard lines, color and different sizes of panels made this pleasing to read. The story of Superman is also one of my favorite superhero stories, so it was just the entertainment I needed for a rainy afternoon.

A great coming of age tale, and a story that I just needed to read right now.

Very cozy, happy this was my first Superman comic since it’s a very good beginning

2nd Read
4/5
Is it the greatest thing ever? No, but I really the atmosphere it creates. Sometimes the narration felt unnecessary, to me the last Lana caption boxes made no sense, and I can understand why people might not like the whole “Superman is innately good thing” that the book proposes, but I don’t mind.

This is pretty much the origin story as usual, with more about his teens than some; I really enjoyed the Kents and the Smallville cast. The Lois here is still Clark's rival, not his friend or love interest yet, and Lex is totes evil. It was a neat touch to have each section (season) narrated by a different person--Pa Kent, Lois, Lex, Lana Lang.

Only three stars because I was more in the mood for Superman having adventures, but it's very good at what it does.
