A most delightful book choice during quarantine and snowstorm after snowstorm. What a gorgeous book.

I wish I could give this 3.5 stars. It took a bit to get into the book but then I was hooked. I could have used a little more information from the end, I’m still left with some questions.

I haven't liked a book this much in a long time. Poignant, touching and it leaves you wondering. The writing style was quick and easy to read. The dialogue was presented as whispering in your head versus spoken out loud. The character development, setting and plot was near perfect. Wonderful !

Really well written and beautiful story with main characters in their early 50s who are pushing themselves to learn and continue to grow. Atmosphere isn't something I normally notice or spend time thinking about, but this was the exception - it was intense and vivid and some of the places will live in my heart for a while.

This book had me captivated! Felt weird finishing a novel set in Alaska in the middle of a heat wave, but I could not put it down. It’s cozy, mysterious and utterly compelling. About a childless couple who start being visited by a wild little girl who appears seemingly from nowhere after they make a snowman in the shape of a child.

A devastating novel, The Snow Child creates lots of interesting concepts while leaving the mystery of the snow child open ended. Brilliant book, but dragged a bit in places. Reminded me of novels I read in 7th grade — people farming who aren’t entirely good at it who get good at it & northern living.
