An elderly, lonely woman with no family or friends spends her days going through the motions until she rescues a mouse that brings meaning and connection to her life. A little saccharine, but a quick and engaging read.

I read this book based upon a recommendation from a facebook group (as it relates to other books I enjoy). I honestly wish it was longer and had more of a shared backstory. There is opportunity for sequels with some of the other characters.

A sweetly slow-paced gentle “small story” about a lonely, grief-haunted elderly woman who accidentally rescues a mouse and the emotional and informational journey that follows which opens her up to life for one final chapter. No grand adventures or villains or battles here, just an exploration of everyday trials and everyday miracles. Gorgeously written and beautifully performed.

Surprisingly really good. Very heartwarming (bringing a few tears to my eyes) and managed to get quite a few laughs as well. How one little mouse managed to change her life completely around for the better. The happy ending was much appreciated.
