Truly is a sweet, shy, awkward introvert, who loves numbers and Noah is her best friend, he’s basically an adrenaline junkie, savvy businessman and a player.
When something happens that shakes up Truly’s world, Noah steps in to assist her with things she’s terrified she’ll do wrong. Can spending even more time together make things weird or will they realize the chemistry they have and put their chemistry to the test?
This was fun and full of banter, sweet & swoony moments and some spice.
Both narrators did an absolute phenomenal job bringing these characters to life.

This was a pretty cute book! We follow Truly who has been hopelessly in love with her best friend Noah and now that he’s back in town, she’s doing her best to avoid him so she doesn’t fall for him again. Inevitably though, fate pushes them together and they will have to work together at her family’s charity.
This was a fun time. I really liked this book. The romance between Noah and Truly was nice. I’m a sucker for friends to lovers and I liked seeing the way these two interact.
At first when I got to the third act conflict I was worried it was just going to happen for the sake of conflict but I actually think it made sense for the characters. It was well written and I loved seeing them get together after.
The only reason it got a 3.5 instead of a 4 is because I don’t find it all that memorable and while I did enjoy it, I don’t think I’ll be thinking about this book much after finishing it.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. It was pretty fluffy and cute. I had a good time with it and I would recommend it.

Being labelled a player never stopped me from being successful with women. Until I met Truly Harbury.
Truly was the first girl who ever turned me down. The first female friend I ever had. And she might just be the first woman I ever fall in love with. The more time we spend together, the more I want to convince her I’m not a man to avoid, that we’re not as unsuited as she believes.
She’s the first woman I ever fell in love with. I just need to know if she could ever love me too.

This was another solid read - perfect for a weekend read. I actually managed to finish this in a single day.
We go back to the same tropes of all romance novels of this ilk but with a slight twist. The girl is a geek but the author doesn't make a thing of it. The guy is a playboy but it's just a matter of fact thing. He is not unbearable like a lot of male leads can be - quite the opposite.
The big tell with books like these is whether I become so immersed that you imagine you are part of the story. For this one and all female romance books I enjoy I always imagine myself in the story.
The lead guy ultimately finds life is not all about money and the next adventure.
The storyline is predictable but that is what I want with my light chick lit reads. Save the curveballs and surprises for the thrillers.

4 stars for narration. My first Shane Easton! Wow. Totally get why everyone raves about his narration.
2 stars for the story. I didn't really connect with either of the characters and found myself bored by their interactions on more than one occasion.
Averaging the two for a 3 star rating.
