It was so good and then it was just annoying how clueless Truly was. Well written, I’m just so over all romance novels being the same angst filled “I love him but I can’t love him and maybe he loves me but he can’t love me.”

I love a great friends-to-lovers read and this slowburn romance definitely did not disappoint. Noah and Truly's story had a little of everything.... romance, witty banter, chemistry and undeniable emotions. Noah's the sexy player that doesn't di relationships and Truly is the geeky twin that has more of a relationship with work than a man. What happens when the one person you've had a secret crush on, your bestfriend you haven't seen in years, pops back up in your life? Guess you'll have to grab your copy of International Player to find out and believe me you want to find out!

This had Bay's signature hot sexy times and I hate to say this but I was disappointed that I couldn't get into these characters. Truly was so insecure from start to finish and I didn't believe her 180 proposition to Noah for being friends with benefits. It seemed to come out of nowhere.
And I found it hard to believe that a mere millionaire now residing in London can call up a stylist he knows in NYC to connect him with a hairstylist that makes house calls in Londontown. I mean, really? Who is this guy?

I was enjoying the book actually,  but I don’t like it when male leads think women are “quirky” simply for not wearing makeup.

Mini-Review:

4 Stars for Narration by Shane East & Saskia Maarleveld
3 Stars for Story

You know how you like a narrator and then you keep an eye out for them? Shane East is on that list. I like his light accent & his cheesy female voices. He tends to work on stories where he can embody the characters in the book. That works for me!

If you don't know by now, I still laugh at the sex scenes in audio because they sound funny. I've gotten to the point where I have fun listening to romances on audio but I find it to be rare to find a narration of sex scenes that don't make me grin, laugh, snort, groan or roll my eyes like pinwheels.

This is a sweet story about two friends who reconnect in a way that sparks more than laughter and easy going teasing. It's a wholesome story about two good people and how they find a way to love each other despite all of logic stating why it won't work. Solid family circle, a sweet romance and happily ever after.

This was a struggle to finish. The main character was so unlikable. She whined every chance she got and it made getting through the book painful.
