One to revisit for sure. Very thought provoking, the first couple of ‘books’ had more in substance. Some themes/ideas kept reoccurring as you progress into the later ‘books’ (chapters). One to definitely annote and revisit, i’ve already begun my second read!

Interesting concepts and thought provoking. To say this is a little outdated is compliment to its age...not sure many writing hold up this well after 1,900 years. Spookily relevant in many capicites...what does that tell us about human nature?

Marcus Aurelius is just a chill guy who wants you to live the chill, honorable life. Follow nature’s path, remember your time is not infinite, rely on your actions over your words, and you’ll be set on a solid path to being that reliable homie.

Many of his reasonings and analogies felt like they were reaching and outdated, but it’s okay, you’ll still be on the path to being a cool guy.
