This was the first audiobook I've finished listening on Scribd. I really enjoy Christopher Pike's books. I used to buy paper books and was able to buy three of his omnibus editions. Although I haven't finished Thirst No. 2: Phantom, Evil Thirst, and Creatures of Forever yet. I tried to search it on Scribd but unfortunately, Thirst No. 3 was the only available audiobook in the Thirst series under Christoper Pike's profile.

I hate skipping episodes or seasons when I watch a movie or a TV show that's why I haven't seen a lot of popular movies and TV series. I'm the type of person who wants to watch something or read something from the beginning. Given the availability of books on Scribd, I didn't have much of a choice but to listen to this book.

The narration and the narrator's voice are apt for Sita's character. It was a bit confusing at first, since this book is not related to the book that I was reading in the omnibus edition but it didn't stop me from being intrigued with the plot. The characters were interesting. It's good to hear about Seymour again. It's also good to learn about Sita's character development. Compared to the 2nd book in the omnibus edition, Sita showed a different vulnerability in this book. She's still that bad ass last vampire but her humanity affected her decisions in some way. The ending was unexpected until Christopher Pike came up with another plot twist/cliffhanger for his next book.

All in all, it's a good series and I enjoyed how it was narrated. If only there are more audiobooks for the Thirst series. I'd love to listen to the rest of the books. I might check out Audible next month.

I really enjoyed this book. It was the best one that I've read from this series. Can't wait to read the next one. I am really glad I bought the boxed set at that sale. It was worth it.

What the??

What the what?! I’m not sure about this book, but let’s discuss and maybe I’ll decide by the end of this.

There are some spoilers here, but nothing too significant. This might even be in the blurb, but I don’t read those, because I won’t read a book most times if I do. I know, I’m odd.

Anyhow, the final book in Thirst 2 was the last book in the original series. Sita goes back in time to change history and in the final scene, she decides to go all the way back to the day Yaksha was born and kill him before he can be born and she never becomes a vampire. Then we also have a scene with Seymour closing the book as if he was authoring the story the entire time and none of it happened to begin with.

Due to that ending, I was really curious how book 3 even happened. Something must have majorly changed. So, I was expecting a rewrite of sorts on the history. I wasn’t quite expecting this though.

The biggest change is probably with Seymour. In the beginning of book 3, we find out that Sita never met Seymour. Never cured him of his AIDS, but Seymour got on a drug cocktail that did extend his life and he did write the book about Sita. They are psychically linked.

Ray, Joel, Paula, Eddie, Arturo, Kalika, Yaksha, all their stories still happened mostly the way they were originally written. Except that if you’ll remember, Sita used John’s blood to bring Seymour back from the dead, but that didn’t happen in this version. I think something was mentioned about Sita using the blood on herself.

Christopher Pike does explain pretty much every change eventually, but it’s not right away. This makes it confusing if you recently read Book 2 and you’re wondering what the heck is going on?!? Try to get past that and take this book as it is. It’s really well done, action packed, and impossible to put down at times.

I’m looking forward to reading book 4! It’s nice to be reading more Sita stories. Even if they newest villains are a little odd, they’re also incredibly interesting. Give this series a try!! Happy reading y’all!!

This book was the best in the series in my personal opinion. The plot twists were not horrendous but still provided the shock and surprise intended.

07.14.11. I'd really rather not drop [b:Good Omens|12067|Good Omens|Terry Pratchett|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1282880574s/12067.jpg|4110990] for this, but it came up on my library hold, and I own Good Omens, so no due date... hm. Hoping this is a quick read, but I can't even fake optimism that I'm going to love this.

07.17.11. Ugh. Thank Cod it was a quick read and I finished it in a day. If I'd given more time than that, I'd be yelling. A lot. Especially with that ending, which might have been a magnificent "woah!" moment if I was still 15, and, you know, there hadn't been magic moonlight and nuclear bombs and aliens and time travel mucking up my first vampire series. And now... secret society of immortal beings that a 5,000-year-old huntress has never noticed? That Yaksha failed to mention (and let's not get into everything Yaksha conveniently forgot to mention)? This was lazy, pure and simple. Typos! You have 15 years to write a sequel and there are typos?? Okay, so I'm yelling despite only wasting a day... and yet, we all know I'm going to read the next one. Pike will not get money from me for any of these (yay library), but it's a train wreck, and I can't look away.

Christopher Pike has done it again. I stopped and took a break from reading his Thirst series, but then I picked up the 3rd book, and couldn't put it down. Granted it took me 2 weeks to finish it, but that's with school as well as work involved I say that's good timing. Overall I love No. 3 and I can't wait to finish No. 4 which I bought immediately after. I love everything about this book it there were a few surprises in it as well. What more could I say besides buy it you won't regret it.
