As I started reading, I was instantly sucked into the story. The main character thinking that she saw her comatose brother’s hand move was just that perfect draw to suck me in, then add the doctor taking her brother away and not listening yep I was hooked. But, unfortunately I quickly lost interest. The author never went into any detail as to how their society came to be, what the “Great War” was all about. All we do know is that the society they are now living in is what I would classify as a nightmare. Others call it a dystopian society ruled by the powerful hand of big brother aka the government!

We have angels, trackers, magicians, and what we have is a strange mess. I think the author spent far too much time on world building and not quite enough on character creation. There was also just too many names of things to keep track of the classifications of the characters. I thought that the romance between the main characters seemed a bit forced and a bit too quick for my liking. Then when the action came I was like okay but why are they fighting. Why are they warring? That question was never answered for me at all.

Will I continue this series? Probably, mostly just to see if I ever have my questions answered. I really want to know WHY everyone is at war and WHY they live as they do…

For now I give this a 2.5 didn't quite hit that 3 mark for me.

Wow! This was such a great book! It took me a while to figure out what was going on in this world because everything was so different, but once I got my bearings, I loved it so much! KaSonndra Leigh really creates such a rich, and detailed world that it is insane to think that it used to be the United States. It's so different. I especially loved how everything was there for a reason, every person, every place, and every item came into play later on in the book. And not always in the ways that I had imagined. That is great story telling.(it is more like great world building)

Chela is so kick butt and awesome. I admired her so much! She will stop at nothing to find out what happened to her brother. I love that she questions everything. She will do whatever it takes, no matter what stands in her way. And boy oh boy did she have a lot of obstacles in her path. But she never even faltered- she just keep plowing right through everything. And she even attracted the attention of multiple guys. The guy factor was a problem for me. She has this nice, sweet, loyal best friend who clearly cares about her a lot. Those are all the things that I love in male characters, so it was really hard for me to see him competing with Faris. I have such a soft spot for Jalen. He is so awesome.

Faris is pretty great too, but I kind of wanted it to be Jalen right from the start. Faris is a good guy too, so he did have that going for him. I really grew to like him and I ended up wanting Chela and Faris to get together but I still felt a little conflicted with good ole Jalen. I guess we will see what happens in book 2. But I do have one complaint about Faris. What is it with all the guys in books lately being described as "hot with long hair"? Sorry, but long hair on a guy just does not do it for me. So whenever they would describe Faris' ponytail, I would conveniently not picture him that way.

When Copper Suns Fall is such an excellent book! I went into the book expecting to enjoy it and I came out of it wanting to read it all over again. I loved it so much more than I thought I would!! It exceeded all of my expectations. The world just sucks you right in and the characters really come to life. Great book, and I cannot wait to read the next one!

This was a good book and I am going to read the next however there are some glitches. As the reader you are learning from the main character. She doesn't have any clue of what's going on around her and quite often she is blacked out. You know you have missed parts of the story. Other than that it is still a good and interesting book. If you like dystopians and angel books this will be a good read for you.

This is a really difficult review for me to write. I really enjoyed the characters and was able to connect with them. But, the story was so fast that at times I felt a little bit lost and had to really pay close attention to everything that was going on in the story to understand what had happened next.

The book is a dystopian that starts off in the year 2067, which is 55 years after the Tidal Wars. Chela is visiting her brother in what seems to be a hospital. He had an accident and everyone claims that he fell, but Chela believes he was pushed. Her brother is basically comatose and when she sees his hand move, she gets into an altercation with the physician.

The book sucked me in from the first chapter and the incoming of Faris just made me that more interested. Faris is Chela's protector and he and Chela form a special bond to the point that they can talk to each other in their minds.

Chela was a kick butt kind of chic and tried to always do the right thing to protect those that she cared about. The others kept a lot of secrets from her, but she just kept on trudging and trying to figure it all out. Her friends were awesome too and I really felt for Jalen. He put himself out there for her.

Even though, I tended to get a tad confused, the story held my attention all the way through to the end! The ending was kind of heart breaking and I am looking forward to the second book. The story line and the uniqueness have piqued my interest and I am a sucker for a good love triangle.
