just horrible god read this because of its acclaim but it was nothing more than boring blocks of text of meaningless horror and misogynist boys that I struggled to maintain any interest in reading. only to end with a “plot twist” that was the only logical ending to the story. the lack of paragraphs and quotation marks made it even more grueling to get through just 100 pages.

Longe da prosa de "Temporada de huracanes", a autora deixa-nos um retrato dos devaneios e sonhos de dois adolescentes de uma sociedade onde abunda a gratuitidade da violência e onde esta se mostra como o meio para atingir fins. Mais do que pela história vale pelo enquadramento das disparidades sociais mexicanas e por mostrar o quão baixo se pode cair quando a violência passa a ser a normalidade.
Continuo sem perceber o "hype" em torno de Fernanda Melchor a não ser pela questão dos novos autores sul-americanos...
Andará tudo à procura dos novos "Rulfos", Cortazáres, Bolaños, Marquez (entre outros)???
