I picked this book up and put it down again so many times over the last few months, but as with Robinson's other essay collections, this was well worth waiting. Best enjoyed with an excellent glass of wine, you can't help but laugh. Also - the essay about what it's like dating a British person is 100% accurate and hilarious.

I have no interest in business or 'building an empire' so this got to be a bit too much and I was eh about the ins and outs of it all (the necessity of firing a bad employee was not what I wanted to spend my time on).

I read this one for a book club at work and, while collections of personal essays are honestly not my favorite genre, Phoebe's collection here is hilarious and cute while also being thoughtful and real. I particularly appreciated her honesty about relationships during 2020 quarantine and also the unhelpful performative "anti-racism" that was everywhere at that time. If you are a personal essay person, you will love these!

She’s funny! I wish 95% of the instances of “aka [actual term for the Funny abbreviation She just used]” Would be removed, it felt like having half of her jokes immediately explained.

This essay collection made me literally laugh out loud. Robinson was spot on with her commentary about quarantining with a partner during the Covid-19 pandemic in her essay “#Quaranbae”. She also was successful in tackling an emotionally charged subject while still including comedic relief in her essay “We Don’t Need Another White Savior”. Readers of all backgrounds will be able to relate to and find humor in this title.
