This book was a quick read - goes a lot into the music scene so if you also enjoy up and coming music or are in that space, probably worth a read

The perfect mix of Daisy Jones and the current culture/lifestyle.

Living in Nashville, I thought this did a great job at really showing what life here is really about. The focus on the songwriting and trying to figure out exactly who you are in a town of people who think they know who they are was very relatable.

All the playlists were perfection - now if we could get a final recording of her song that would be great wink

A winding stream of consciousness about being lost in your early 20’s and unsure of what your life will become.

I devoured this book. So accurately captures the enchantment with the city many of us felt upon moving to Nashville in our 20s while simultaneously experiencing the (often substance-fueled) whirlwind of emotions that comes with a not-yet-fully-developed prefrontal cortex and just trying to figure your shit out (and using sad song lyrics to do it). All while trying to not fall in love with every single person in flannel and skinny jeans with good hair, a guitar, and a gift for latte art. Places make the best lovers, and this book is an ode to that.

Someone else said this is like Sweetbitter meets Daisy Jones and I think that sums it up perfectly.

Wow. This book tapped into so many feelings and memories I didn’t even know I could remember. The writing is truly beautiful and evokes so much on its own, and the way this book truly made me feel like I traveled back in time to my own first few years in Nashville really blew me away.
