God their characterization was so bad and there was no plot, just them interacting. There wasn't even a turning point or third act. 

I didn't like that Aurora was "troubled" but also "artsy" at the same time and that he was "shy" but also "dominant". It's true we are three dimensional and we can have complex personalities but this felt like they had personality disorders.
