A short & cute novella that had some spice in it but not entirely enough for me. All in all it was a cute story. I enjoyed the characters but wished for more.

4.25 WANDERLUST HOLIDAY STARS

This novella starts on Christmas Day with Clara breezing into town for two days to spend with family and her best friend with benefits, Nash.
She’s constantly on the go for her food and travel blog. She has a major case of wanderlust.
The Christmas scenes are charming and festive.
The characters are smart, interesting and fun.
I loved her two Dad’s, sister and her sisters young children. They bring heart and warmth to the story.
As the story continues it’s Clara and Nash on an important date he’s planned.
It’s a whirlwind to the senses, it’s clever and a cultural journey.
I loved the idea behind his plan, I enjoyed the scenes and characters adventures in NYC.
There’s plenty of sexy heat and scenes, their chemistry and connection is hot and emotional.
The two have a disagreement when it comes time to face feelings.
From there the characters do some soul searching and have to decide what’s important and what they want in their lives.
I enjoyed this short holiday romance. The culture, food and travel are described so beautifully.
The characters are interesting and likable. I didn’t connect strongly with them, in a short story I don’t usually so that’s to be expected. I still enjoyed the story very much. The writing is really good.
It’s a great holiday read.

It took me 11 days to read 150ish pages. That should tell you something about the pacing of this story. That being said, it was nice to have male romantic lead portrayed as someone other than average white guy.

Super cute! This sounds like a Christmas story, but I feel more like I just traveled the world than celebrated the holiday! Clara is a successful travel blogger who is hardly ever home. When she is, she sneaks time with Nash, a guy she's been casual with for years. One of Clara's dads is Nash's mentor and boss, so they've been keeping it a secret. When Clara comes home for the holidays, the secret is revealed in probably one of the most awkward ways I've ever seen. My goodness.

Nash plans to spend 24 hours while Clara is home showing her all of the different cultures she can find right in NY so he can convince her to stay home. He's been in love with her for years, but she's following her late mom's dreams of traveling and is itching to get back to experiencing the world. Can he get her to stay? Eek!

🔥: We only get a few spicy scenes in this novella, but they're all full of desire. We get a lot of details and they even get a bit kinky when it comes to location.
😆: There are lots of cute moments with these two and you'll find yourself smiling a lot. Especially as they explore so many different cultures!
😭: There are some tough moments, but thanks to the quick pace of the story you likely won't shed any tears.

Liz Alden always makes me want to travel after I read her stories! If you're itching for a journey yourself, you should check out more of her writing!

This book was pretty cute. I’m not a huge fan of novellas, but this wasn’t bad. I get the point was for it to feel Christmassy, but I think the whole “Nutcracker” thing was pretty forced.
You can definitely tell the author’s political ideation, which was fine with me, but it sometimes got to be a little over the top. I don’t think the diversity seemed too forced, and I really like that holiday hallmark books and movies are becoming more inclusive.

Short and sweet review for a short and sweet book.
It did really have a good vibe but I can’t give this book more than 2.5 stars⭐️⭐️

I didn’t feel the connection between them although they were pretty cute together
