Minnie stumbles upon a dead body in the library. She and Eddie have to try to solve the murder while running the bookmobile. You're kept guessing until the very end on this one. Can't wait for the next!

I enjoy this series. The characters are interesting and happy. (other than the dead body & the suspects of course) The cat is adorable and believable.

3.5 rounded up. It took me a couple chapters to get into the story, which isn’t super common for me, but ultimately I ended up liking it. It was my first cozy mystery in a very long time. I think there are others I will like more, but I still enjoyed the read and looked forward to getting back to it each day.

Cat with a Clue is the 5th book in the Bookmobile Cat Mystery series and I am sticking with my thought that they just keep getting better and better. Cass keeps building on the prior books in the series, and slowly but surely, our main characters are experiencing many life changes. I'm not sure where the title comes into play (nor have I with any of the books so far), but Eddie is nothing but helpful as the book goes on. This can easily be read as a standalone as the author gives plenty of detail, but I'm still glad to be reading them in order for the character building. The synopsis is pretty vague, and I actually really like that about it. It's fun just to get lost in the 'case' and watch Minnie and Eddie solve it (because yes, the cat is helping!).

Erin Bennett has narrated the series on audio so far and she does a really amazing job, both for Minnie and (not so) little Eddie. I love the humor that permeates the entire book, and there are even some more serious topics as well. I was surprised by the whodunnit, and also just loved getting to know the characters better. The setting revolves around the library quite a bit, and there is even a sprinkle of drama thrown in! Along with the mystery, there are also subplots going on which include Minnie's aunt, and I love that she is included in the storyline so much. If you enjoy cozy mystery series these are an excellent choice.
