So many mixed feelings about this novel! The beginning really hooked me but the middle of this book seemed to go on forever. The final 100 pages or so were heart racing and I couldn't keep from biting my nails. In the end I would definitely encourage others to read this book!

Well, i didn't like it. I heard of this book on Booktube and I was honestly interested but when I read it, I just couldn't get myself to like it. I low key liked the ending but it was boring and tasteless. I felt no feel for any character, the plot was as dry as the setting of the book and it was stupid.

Easy 5 stars, I loved this book it made me a little sad but overall it was amazing, full review later.

loved it- the writing was done in a way where i surprised myself because of how bad i wanted ty and gemma to be together. the ending was disappointing for me, but i didn’t expect anything less. i think it could have been longer, the ending seemed a bit rushed.

Gemma is a normal young girl goes to school, struggles to fit well with her peers, and doubting her parent's love. Soon her entire life is turned upside down and finds herself abducted from the Bangkok airport by a man she knows, but can't remember why. He is young and striking, coercing her into drinking a coffee he purchased and spiked for her. She wakes up and finds herself in the middle of nowhere, in a dry, hot desert with her capture. As she struggles through trying to understand who he is and why he chose her, she also finds more about herself along the journey.

Gemma's story is told through her eyes in a letter to her abductor, experiencing the moments of confused emotions, fear, and hope. This was a great read, that only took a short time to get through. A great rainy day book. I give this a four star review for the readability and the author's skill at enticing our minds to live with her capture for those weeks.

Realmente no me gustó.

Well written, but not exactly what I was expecting from the description. Plus, I was hoping for a different ending. I’m curious how the sequel goes, but not sure enough to buy it

Lucy Christopher's talent for imagery has once again transported me to the beautiful land that is wild Australia right along with her. I found myself falling in love with the Great Sandy Desert all over again. I've never felt such an overwhelming mix of emotions after finishing a book.

There's just something intensely captivating about coming to understand Ty's motivation and Gemma's struggle to determine what is happening around her. I’m torn between wanting Gemma to sympathize with and forgive Ty, yet I also can't help but root for her to escape. This story is one that will forever stick with me and have me wondering if I’M the one with Stockholm syndrome..

Cannot wait for the sequel.

Really liked the book. I would love to see a sequel, maybe written from Ty's perspective. I really liked the style it was written in. It made Gemma seem close and felt like I was a part of her journey. I kinda wished that it ended differently, but overall loved the book.

wow, really liked this.
