I didn't finish this book. I read the first 1/4, and then tried to listen to the audio, but this format (short diary entries) just isn't for me.

I’m a fan of David Sedaris’s sarcastic/humorous and sharp tone. If I want to unwind and take my mind off things, then he is my ultimate choice for an audio book. I've never read any of his books. I've only listened to them over and over again. I loved this week just like all of his previous ones.

i don’t know how to rate this because so much of my enjoyment of it was based on a combination of factors: the nostalgia of having been raised listening to the books based on these diaries, devouring literal dozens of fictional diary books throughout my childhood, and a desperate desire to read the diaries of every single random person on earth who has ever kept one in the history of humanity. that being said, i obviously loved this and wish it could go on forever. i also didn’t listen too closely (as instructed in the introduction) and it was the perfect background noise to my life. can’t wait to listen to the second half of the diaries, and i will be devastated when it is over.

impressed by the dedication to keeping a diary and it is interesting to see how life changes and moves and to see prices, current events, political views and even language change.
