The front of my copy of this book told me that it was a cross between 'The Time Traveler's Wife' and 'The Sixth Sense', while I'm not sure whether that's exactly what I'd say if I had to relate this book to something, it's not completely far off.

The book has a good plot, and you do end up feeling for the protagonist, Will 'Dead' Kennedy, but it's quite slow moving - once I'd finished reading the book, I felt like 'Is that all that happened?' but I was glad with the way it ended, not completely tying everything up, but just enough so that you had nowhere to go with it within your own imagination.

The characters were well thought out and the use of his own childhood memories interlaced with what was happening in the present, managed to give Will and the other characters depth and knowledge.

And it just goes to show that seeing dead people and all that supernatural stuff isn't as great as some books and films make it out to be.
