This book was slow going at the start with the
murder not occurring until the middle of the novel
but the storytelling and the unique characters allow the story to be enjoyable. Berendt’s writing style is unique in that you would not know his work is nonfiction and he paints a vivid picture of the eccentric people of Savannah. An enjoyable novel.

The atmosphere goes hard! Very interesting that it’s based on a true story!
