I can't wait for the last book to come out. But... this one left me very confused as to what is actually going on.

Wasn't sure what to expect with this book. Noah is caught in a never ending whirlwind of confusion it seems and even I was a bit confused but it was exciting and you just get too curious so you can't stop reading.

I’ll admit that some of my low rating is partially my fault since I remember about 10% of the previous book, but I feel disenchanted overall by this whole series/world. This book had a lot of filler (going back and explaining more things) and a decent amount of interesting plot points otherwise. I don’t even really know what else to say because this was just the epitome of a “shrug emoji” to me lol.

Hello filler book! Honestly, parts of this were interesting, but this was a definite filler novel and I feel like the ending of this book proves that.

literally read that in a day cos i just wanna be done w this series 😭 idk even know what’s going on like tf

ngl i liked the moments w noah and goose cos i like they’re friendship and i liked how they were in england. but not much happened ngl like they just kinda talked with M then explored the house then talked with M then explored a uni and then jamie was all of a sudden there

anyways, noah idk how to feel this book. he was saying how he wants to own mara which i get intrusive thoughts but bro nah that’s not cool. and he didn’t treat mara well and he does admit that which is good but yk yea. he needs to be a better brother and son like he doesn’t provide his family any attention… he just has had zero growth, i get that he is severely depressed but he hasn’t sought help or anything. pretty much every character has stayed stagnant besides mara.

i hate not being in maras pov like she’s the og and it feels weird to see everyone view her like she’s evil when she’s not. rlly freaking glad daniel is ok cos i was scared

WHAT THE FUCK the reason for sophie to kill all these teens is so stupid like it makes no sense, there were no hints no buildup for this esp in the first trilogy like it’s so stupid. and the fact they’re protecting her too like wtf? istg if she hurts daniel i’m swinging. also where are they, mara and him. highly doubt theyll join the bloody professor (if i hear abt him again i’ll fight someone) cos they’re smart. also idk if i can trust M or the lawyer like wtf do they want. they have a whole monologue but i had no idea what they were talking abt.

so confused abt the ghost thing like tf?

also jamie has a brother? so bloody stupid man like since fuckinh when i thought he was adopted. and isaac was sprouting a ton of bullshit that i skimmed cos i had no idea what was going on

also um the flashbacks to the lab idk how to feel. like he told her to kill everyone huh? also whyd he just leave after that then i’m so confused.

the simon flashbacks are weird asf too like i just don’t care abt the before chapters at all or the letters they are so fucking dull

the next book better be the last cos the author has just ruined this series w all these unnecessary books and extreme plot lines

Reading the arc for the Reckoning of an Asscrown was too much for my overheated mind and I almost collapsed after seeing the first page of Noahs' letter. His POV makes Noah more real and more tangible, than when we met him through Maras' eyes. It's not possible for me to find anything wrong with these series, I'm too much of a goner for that, and when I say that I love this twisted and messed up story, it's an understatement. I live and breathe with it, it's my personal kind of drug and I'm addicted to Michelle Hodkins' writing. I know this isn't much of a review, but I just have too many feelings and not enough words to describe them.
