I loved this novella. It was such an interesting new read for me. Abbas was such a cutie and I could really feel his struggle to relate with women. I loved it when Sophia and Abbas decided to start a relationship. They were so cute together. I would love to see them in upcoming books. They are my favorite couple so far.

Abbas (H), a manticore "performer" in the Carnival of Curiosities gives Sophia (h) a backstage look at the carnival when an odd sequence of events leads to him accidentally pricking her with one of his venomous quills.
