I was given an ARC of this book and really enjoyed it! There was nice steady character and world building, and the spice was spicy! It was sweet and funny with just enough drama to keep it interesting. I look forward to more stories set in this world!

This was a hilarious and adorable monster meet cute!

I adore Chaos and Marea together, and love how passionate Chaos is about helping out his species. the fact that this monsters "thang" "thang" comes off!!! omg endless humor...and spicy fun times.

This author is definitely going to be a one click author from now on!

This was a weird read. Overall, I liked the main characters, Chaos and Marea. I enjoyed the banter between them and how dorky and intellectual both characters were portrayed. Now, the weird stuff was mostly due to Cthulhu anatomy. Also, Marea's backstory, while it was sad, it also sounded a little far fetched, like her innocence was exaggerated. But it was sad. There wasn't a whole lot of character growth, except for Marea budding trust. There wasn't much of a plot and the ending felt rushed. But leading up to it, the romance was kind of sweet. There were definitely some LOL moments that I enjoyed.

Sweet, steamy and full of feels!

Wow! I originally read this as the short story in the Beach Shots anthology (the prologue in this book), and immediately wanted to know what was next for Chaos (MMC). He's got such a good heart. I was intrigued by his research and his quest for the cure for all Cthulhu. He longs for a mate, but puts his research first because of the impact it would have on his species. And then he meets Marea. I have to say, I think this was my favorite meet cute of any characters I've ever read! I laughed so hard!! Marea is the human version of Chaos. She's intelligent, also a scientist, has a huge heart and is just as equally lonely. They are perfect for each other!! Her past was heartbreaking, I shed a few years having related a little to her upbringing. I loved these two together and LOVED the ending! I can't wait to see what next in this world!

IM IN LOVE

I was giving my coworker a play by play of the funny antics of the sweet marshmallow Cthulhu man. And so heartwarming even through some pretty tough subjects.

Did I read this in an entire day? no comment
Did i enjoy this as much as the very first? No. I’ll be honest i didn’t, however !! I also believe this and audited by anubis feel like such different books and that played a major part in it.
Chaos’ book is much more of a scientifically professional love story. (Very science heavy but this is such a good thing for us as readers since we do have a naturally curious female protagonist who also needs to know!) It did seem kind of Niche, tho when dealing with something as complex as Cthulhu i guess it does make sense!
I do agree with others that it felt rushed and at the end we were told a lot more than we were shown, but i don’t know how it could’ve been lengthened either, so it isn’t a huge complaint for me.
Overall.. I am hooked to this series and i can’t wait for more

This was a wild ride.  The monster had a detachable penis.  I'm not even sure what to say.  I just had a lot of fun reading this ridiculousness.  I do think trying to introduce deeper, darker themes, like Marea having a child and her parents taking it away from her at 18 might not have been the way to go with this story?  I would have given it the same rating without that back story, so to me, it didn't seem necessary.

I went into this expecting less plot and more monster spice, but this was actually a very cute romance. I love that the MCs were both scientists and connected on an intellectual level. I was left wishing it had an epilogue or something, just maybe a little more closure. 4 stars, definitely checking out other titles by the author.
