Such twisted, hilarious, and sometimes profound stories wrapped up in this little nugget of terror. Love it!

Honestly, if the library didn't carry this, I would probably stop reading. I feel like my review for this series has always been the same. A mixed bag of an anthology but this time, the mixed bag felt flat. The first story was interesting and seemed to hint at a larger arc which fizzled out in the 2nd and 4th stories. The 3rd story, a nightmare about reality TV was the only one I truly enjoyed.

As strange, inventive, and disturbing as ever, Vol. 4 delivers one of the best single issues I've seen so far in this series while also providing significantly more insight into the Ice Cream Man, the dark cowboy, and their supernatural struggle against each other--with so many innocents caught in the crossfire.

Stories feel disconnected from what little there was of the overarching plot they were building towards, but still manages to have interesting plots.

The author just wanted to pack his series with as many stories as possible and the experiment doesn't work because it's too damn much, too damn unorganized.

For the most part, the issues are not really the problem. They're fine as quick reads, however they don't accomplish much. What's the point of teasing a bunch of lore every once in a while, if you switch genres and story dynamics in every chapter? What are you reading about, when you read an Ice Cream Man issue?

First figure out what kind of story you want to tell. Then you can tell me all about space travel and the meaninglessness of life. Sometimes the delivery can also get a little bit pretentious, which doesn't exactly help the case of the author (Spanish? Really?). At such moments I just run out of excuses for him, which is a pity, because I'm sure he has good stories in him, he just needs to leave this amateurish writing behind.

'See this treacherous route and know: you, too, will travel it. Eventually. Because all paths are the same path, terminating at a single point: The end of the road.'

The nefarious Ice Cream Man is back for four more chapters of havoc and mayhem. In one of them, a dude gets stuck in these super menacing reality TV shows. He goes from one to the next. And in chapter 4, Ice Cream Man in space!! 🚀 Also, we get to see some history on the dark cowboy and his relationship with Ice Cream Man.

'It wasn’t one thing that led to Earth's death. It was all things.'

Not as good as the first two volumes. I did like the backstory of Caleb though. I look forward to reading Volume 4.
