READ 👏🏼 THE 👏🏼 TRIGGERS 👏🏼

This is an extremely dark and twisted obsession
Not a genre I like reading, but since so many others loved it, I thought I’d try it.

It is an addicting read because you have to know what’s going happen

Tons of thrills and suspense. Lots of death and mutilations.

I am captivated by Zades crusade to end human trafficking

IMO Adeline is a lunatic. I like that Addie calls herself a lunatic. There’s just no other way to describe her obsession with being scared. Zade brings that out in spades for her and even though she fights it tooth and nail, deep down, she craves it.

While I was totally captivated and addicted to this story, and of course, am reading the next, I will likely never read this again

I honestly DNFed this book at 50%. I LOVE reading smut and romance, but this story felt really flat. (This isn’t even talking about the consensual issues in this book.) It was just plain boring. If the only thing a guy can think about is sex or getting in her pants, then he is one dimensional.

I’m not one to shame people what they’re into; however, the author seemed like they had to convince us that what the male lead was doing was valid. The male and female inner monologues coerced us into believing they were “ok” with the situation.

Honestly, I only “recommend” this book if nothing phases you and you want a mindless read.

Zade is not it. Adeline is not a manipulator, but a wishy-washy flop of a girl. Do not get me started on the horny weirdo that is Daya.

I… I have so many things to say and I am unsure how to properly say them.

Please don’t get me wrong, I like a dark romance as much as the next book girlie., but this was just… it was not it. Moments that felt like it had been written through a male incel gaze, contradictory plot points and motivations. At times, I was left confused and slightly disgusted? I don’t know. I don’t understand the hype this book gets on Booktok. Wholeheartedly confused.

There’s like a 100% chance that Zade believes in pizza gate so that’s minus one star for me.
