I'm glad I waited so long to read this one, after loving Tangled. That was a great book and this one just .... wasn't.
I think Drew and Kate deserve more than a whole book of them screwing up because of some stupid - not funny or understandable at all - misunderstanding.

Loved reading Kate's POV. This one was an emotional roller coaster...maybe a little more than needed but I still REALLY loved this book.

DNF. The first book was overhyped and not my favorite, and as soon as pregnancy became a ploy in this, I couldn’t put myself through any more. Didn’t love the writing/chemistry.

Talk about your total lack of communication! While I understand why they each thought they knew what the other was talking about during the big blowup, the fact that they were both *sooooo* off base... I thought I'd throw my iPod across the room with how bad they were both fucking things up. My opinion is that Drew had the infinitely worse reaction to what he thought was going on. I mean seriously? THAT is how you deal with what you think you saw?? How old are you?? I sort of understand why Kate reacted the way she did. Especially walking in to see that. And it was *great* to hear how bad Drew was doing without Kate. Still, lots of great laugh out loud moments in this one. I can only imagine that Ms. Chase would be a hilarious friend to have.
The epilogue, honestly, saved this one for me. But then that was from Drew's POV again, so maybe that it was Kate's POV was part of my problem with this one?

1 dinner invitation decline, 1 silly white lie, someone nosing around an appointment book and 2 people forgetting to talk – That will give you Twisted. The name is totally on the mark. But how the heck did they unravel SO quickly?
The first half quickly sets us up for the inevitable angst. At the end of the prologue you know something bad is going to happen – something will come between Kate and Drew. One can really see the strength in Emma Chase’s writing as the tone Kate carries (Twisted is from her POV) and Drew’s (Tangled POV) is distinctly different. Kate is mostly calm and level headed, where we know Drew to be sarcastic and full of comedy.
The story is also told in the manner where Kate is looking back describing how things got to the point they did so at about 60%, we are in present time and looking forward to see how this cluster will get resolved. I really liked being in Kate’s head and seeing how she worked through the quandary.
Things level out and we can finally breathe a sigh of relief. At the end of Tangled, we thought we knew how Drew and Kate’s’ relationship would develop, how they would get from point A to point B, well things between them aren’t as conventional as we might think.
What I loved:
Got to catch up with Drew and his family (especially MacKenzie) is the best and see a bit more of Kate’s history.
What wasn’t to love?
Well, the fact that Drew could go from good guy to ass so quickly, the fact that Kate couldn’t just make her announcement using precise words. OK, so I’ll give her this. I guess when you dream man has his tongue down a stripper’s throat, right in your shared apartment, you might forget to use the right words. Is this the drama I would have thought they would go through? No, but I’m not sure anything heavier would have worked. It kind of needed to be a comedy of miscommunication as anything too damaging would have broken the dynamic of Drew and Kate and then what would we do?
I recommend to anyone who read and loved Tangled – I think if your read Tangled, you loved it. THUS READ TWISTED!

Totally not my go-to genre, but this week I needed some light reading. I remember reading the first book and finding it humorous, so I thought, what the heck?
It wasn't bad. I am sure romance lovers will be all over this title. There was just not much substance. Either the two characters are total idiots or this was conflict for the sake of conflict. My final verdict is a bit of both. Please Ms. Chase, get your characters into some counseling. This is not a healthy way in which to relate to others.
But, the book served its purpose. It was a quick and easy read. And, on the bright side, it gets me closer to one more book of the GAC Top Nominees goal.

Drew was definitely less charming in this book. The drama was pretty laughable. I kept thinking, "how can two people be so stupid?" It wasn't as good as "Tangled" because it's not as much fun and the drama is silly and just makes things awkward. It was still very readable and I definitely love Emma Chase's writing style.

God, I didn't realize how much I've missed Drew Evans until I read this book. Even though a majority of the book is from Kate's POV I still loved hearing the crazy shit that comes out of his mouth.
I really liked getting to see things from Kate's vantage point and it's completely obvious that Drew has rubbed off on her, in the best of ways. I want to be their friend so badly!!
However, it wasn't all giggles and swoons I felt while reading this. I kind of wanted to twat kick Kate and definitely wanted to castrate Drew for allowing a simple misunderstanding turns into a crazy, horrible fight. A few simple moments could have changed the whole story but at the same time, the situation caused them both to step back and look at their relationship from a distance.
I feel like I can't say too much about the situation or if it was resolved because I will be giving too much away, so I will keep it simple and say read this book and then join me as I anxiously await the next one. Also, I heart Drew Evans forever and ever!!
