I most enjoyed the more personal comics, especially those from other countries talking about life outside the U.S. The variety of art styles goes to show that no ones experience will be exactly the same.

Some of the comics were really good, and others not so much.

I really enjoyed this book, although it does have the typical anthology kind of variability across comics in terms of quality (some great ones, some meh). I do suggest reading as an e-book because it can be hard to read otherwise.

This is a bit hard to review given the variety of comics in the anthology. It runs the gamut from history to satire to memoir. None of the historical pieces were all that new to me, personally, but I still think that they were presented well in their form. Some satires were funnier than others. The memoirs, of course (I should think) are the stars of the show, because they come from somewhere personal and heartfelt. My main quibble is it seems that no one edited the writing. Plurals are written oddly at times, the flow of sentences is twisted, and subject-verb agreement isn't watched for. This isn't everywhere or so rampant as to truly impede the experience of reading. But it is noticeable when it happens and makes me wonder why it wasn't fixed.

OUTSTANDING. Wonderful way to educate oneself on LGBTQ+ history and experiences. Such a good read.
