Quattro stelle perché lo slow burn è stato forse eccessivo ma bello e bell'epilogo 😍

I loved it so much. I cried a few times but they were all happy tears. I loved the slow burn and loved the ending. Couldn’t ask for anything better.

This took me forever too read because it moved sooo slow. If you love super slow burns then this is for you. It was not for me.

This wasn’t a good book. If I could rate it zero stars I would

Want to know what happens if you train six times a week for eight hours a day on an ice rink? It will freeze your two last brain cells. Or at least that’s what happened to Jasmine and Ivan, God help them.

I feel like the ice rink froze their maturity growth rate and their last shot at being normal, decent human beings. They are 26 and 30, acting 12 and 14, God help us all. I was sooo weirded out by how mean they were, Ivan was straight up cruel, and just brushed it off as “its because you are tough and can take it”, bullshit, you are just a fatphobic, possessive, piece of __, aaaaand I will stop myself there before I get carried away. I really tried, truly, but that final scene was just horrible, awkward, and soooooo like it was written by a 14 year old, you know which scene. I truly feel like I need to bleach my eyes after that scene, and I literally skimmed through it.

I can’t even organize my thoughts so I will list them as they come:
- How, hooooow did we go from hating this guy to being completely and madly in love with him, with absolutely no warning, like, are we okay, Jas??
- Unnecessary, boring, and super long descriptions, I will never forget how we get a full description of the skates protective covers, them having faux fur and memory foam, with it adding absolutely nothing to the plot. Like, was the goal to make us know Jasmine is passionate about skating and takes care of her skates? Cause if that was it, we get it, she is a professional skater, no need to comment on her skates’ protective case.
- We get soooo many nicknames or remarks throughout the book I thought we would get an explanation for, but never do. For example, we never get to know why he calls her Meatball, but I swear to god if it has anything to do with her weight….
- Also, why was she so mean all the time to the little girls skating? If she had such a hard time growing up and getting mean comments as she said, wouldn’t she be a little but more empathic to all of them, and understand that even the mean girls are mean because they are deep-rooted in insecurities. Cue again to her acting like a 12 year old.
- Im sorry, I have to say it. I have never been so annoyed by an author's writing, why did she describe every single person with the most random description, like, “the redheaded woman who gave birth to me”, or “the second most annoying drama queen in my house”, (using one of her favorite forms of writing), Just. Say. Their. Names.
- And lastly, I truly enjoy some enemies-to-lovers, and some bickering in a relationship, but from that, to literally hyping up some cruel and straight up verbal and emotional abuse, come on, its the twenty-first century, let's all go to group therapy, yes, I'm looking at you, booktok.

I feel lighter, cleaner, freer, after writing this. Thanks for reading, mom.

Thoughts during the book (kindle %) BEWARE OF SPOILERS:
