I absolutely love this book!! Funny and neat ideas.

Everyone needs this book. It is hilarious! If you get it or look at in a book store look at the section about kid games.

I wanted to like this more

Funny! But also has great recipes and good ideas for parties and gifts.
I listened to the audiobook, so now I'm going to borrow the book book from the library so I can see the recipes and such.

Lauren and Julie gave me this book and boy, am I grateful.

Amy's cheese ball recipe is kick-ass party food (thrice tested by me). There are plenty of interesting Greek-style recipes and old school stuff presented in a more entertaining manner than say, anything Betty Crocker or The Joy of Cooking. Ms. Amy gives some truly thoughtful tips such as don't bring flowers as a hostess gift because then the busy hostess actually has to stop hostessing and find somewhere to put the damn flowers. So inconvenient.

Funny, but also surprisingly practical. Bonus: awesome pics of Amy in various stages of awkward undress.

I Like You is funny and surprisingly informative.

I'd recommend it to anyone who digs Amy Sedaris.

I Like You is filled with a mixture of both practical and ridiculously funny advice on hosting guests in your home. There is a large amount of real advice and real recipes (all meat, milk and egg-laden recipes), but there is no page left without a bizarre joke as only Sedaris writes them. The whole book is wonderful to look at with lots of color, great photography, doodles and hilarious pictures of Sedaris. The book has occasional references to Strangers with Candy and to family members which is always fun to see. I Like You is a great book to flip through for a quick laugh or for actual advice or ideas if you are planning a meal with friends.

A coffee table/hospitality book with recipes, craft ideas, and tips for entertaining. All filtered through the weirdness of the Sedaris eye.

I clearly wasn't under the influence enough.

[1.5 stars because hey, it was harmless, and you know, maybe it made someone laugh somewhere.]
funny inspiring lighthearted

Amy is a delight. This book is equally nonsense, and surprisingly very helpful. Some of my go to recipes came from here along with great tips on how to handle a drunk first date.
