Compulsory uni reading, not my favourite Gothic novel, but it definitely opened my eyes to the genre. (This was a time when Gothic to me meant Robert Smith on a bad day.) I preferred this to a lot of the others I had to read.

Pulpy and hilarious and makes Northanger Abbey 100x funnier.

A deliciously devilish read for Halloween. Written by a closeted queer person it does a fantastic job of swapping the trope by portraying a twisted version of heterosexuality
