This was terrible. Listen, the first book in this series was fun and exciting, the second and third were meh but this book? What the heck. Milo was the only good thing about this book and the ending? Terrible, truly, truly terrible.

My Rating: 2 Stars

This is my favorite so far from the series. I find Milo and the Quip more compelling characters than Tilly and Oscar.

How did I not know that books four and five were out?? I so loved the first three Pages and Co. books and I raced to the library to grab The Book Smugglers so I could see which books the crew wandered into next. {Making an appearance this time: (insert [b:The Wonderful Wizard of Oz|236093|The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (Oz, #1)|L. As the first three books encompassed a story arc while world-building and developing the characters, I’m guessing these last three books will be a separate arc. The Book Smugglers gave Milo and his uncle’s magical train, the Quip, centerstage. In the beginning, I sorely missed Tilly, who took a backseat to Milo’s starring role, and Oskar, who we heard from only briefly. It was fun getting to know Milo a bit more and getting the start on a new adventure. By the end of the book, I was excited about how much more depth I had to Milo’s character, his relationship with his uncle Horatio, and the start of the new adventure.

Another fantastic adventure within the world of books and book wandering. I feel each book answers a couple of questions and leaves me with a hundred more. They may be children’s books but these are engrossing and addictive.

I loved this! I was so excited to learn who Milo's comfort characters were, as their book was definitely a childhood favorite of mine. I'm very much looking forward to the next book in this series; it'll definitely be an automatic buy for me!

Sad to say goodbye to Tilly but interesting to get to know Milo more. I love the magic of these books!
