good book but SOOOO long. it picked up during the second half and i was getting through that pretty fast, but the second quarter, i’d say, i literally thought was never going to end. i also just did not think that was a spring/summer vibe book so i was not really in the mood to read and wanted to get it done with. that being said, i would recommend to fantasy fans who want a long read.

I skeptically listened to ACOTAR all the way through, knowing that many consider ACOMAF to be a million times better, and OH. OKAY. I’ve always been a sucker for the second book in a series, because the claws of the conflict tend to dig a little deeper, the flaws of the characters either get massaged out or tighten up even more, yada yada. But this is one of the best second books I’ve ever read. Just wow.

What is there to say that hasn’t been said before. I loved every second of this cheesy book. I’ve never given a book such a high rating that made me actively cringe. SJM really wrote the perfect man, and I respect her for that.
Also the paint scene? Give me a break. Rhysand forever

I sped through the second book! Probably not surprising, I liked this one a whole lot better than the first book. The second book offered significantly more depth and additional plot lines. This is such a guilty pleasure. I am looking forward beginning the next book.

ok i get it now
I could smell the little bitch on Tamlin in the first book; however I still think the transition into the post-under-the-mountain Tamlin-Feyre relationship was lacking. There were hints as to the toxicity in the first book that, to my own dissapointment, I didn't really think much of on the first pass. However, I think the difference between uncomfortably controlling and the rage monster we see at the beginning of this book was incredibly sudden and, honestly, unexplained.
4 stars for the extra lore though i eat that shit up

Okay let me start with the things that I really liked about this book before you hate me.
I love the world building of this series I think that it’s really well developed and planned out and I really like that. I also think that the plot of the book is good!
I really enjoyed the beginning of this book and how that all went down, and I really loved the end of the book that was my favorite part and that what made me almost rate it four stars.
(Also I absolutely love Rhysand, he’s my favorite character)
Now to the stuff I disliked.
I feel like there was a lot of stuff in the middle that just felt like page filler but with this I usually get past it and it isn’t my main dislike.
It felt like it was written by a man in the worst way possible(sorry not sorry). Now don’t get me wrong I didn’t just forget about all the feminist stuff that the author put in but the masculine energy was too much for me. (Maybe because I’m gay?)
Speaking of that going onto the main this I dislike which was a main dislike for me in the first book, the characters are so bland. All of the characters basically the same and there isn’t any real diversity between them.
This is just my personal opinion and if you like this book I’m not gonna say you’re wrong, it just wasn’t personally my favorite.
