(I listened to this as an audio book.)

The narration by Connie Shabshab is fantastic and I love how she made each characters voice come alive for me.

This is the story of a fake marriage turned real, the characters both have their ups and downs but in the end everything works out for the best.

Overall this is a fun romance with a ton of twists and turns!

I loved Emily and Davids story, this is my first book by Laura Burton But i cant wait to read more of her stories.

What happens when you want to expand your business and the only way to secure the funds is to get married? You find a pretend husband! Emily owns a matchmaking business and would like to open a new office. With the terms of her funding set, she knows she needs to find a husband fast! David comes to her and needs to find a wife in 30 days, having this opportunity fall into her lap! Emily is a strong willed, competent woman and does not need a man to complete her, so she thinks. David is a little shy, trips over himself when trying to impress(which I adore) and is very protective of his family. Love these two very different personalities. Its a joy to see how they meld. Laura Burton takes us on a fun filled adventure as these two navigate their new relationship. It's got humor, a lot of secrets and a twist that not only made me smile but was a complete surprise! This is my first book by the author, and I love her style, her low angst and the sweet romance she wove between these two!

Connie Shabshab is a new to me narrator, and I enjoyed her performance. She has a great pace, a huge variety of voices and really brings the story to life. She made it a wonderful listen!

A sweet and charming, match-making romance! It took a little bit to warm up to the story, as it started out with deception between the main characters. This was a great tale of two people who need to be married for varied reasons, to make further advances in their lives. A sweet and clean romance that will draw you in to find out how the story unfolds, and what the aftermath will be when the truth comes out.
