Loved this one so much better than Fracture. The story line was moving along and kept me interested enough to read in one sitting without distraction which is rare for me. The only issue I had was the beginning chapter and end chapter. They both seemed to be a different timeline with zero explanation and I’m still confused on how we got there.

I just read these because the books are short, this way I could catch up with my reading challenge and I thought it was a trilogy. Apparently I was wrong, there are at least three more. Oof.
The relationship of the protagonists is as toxic as it gets, their only connection is fucking and neither of them is even remotely likeable.
Sloane is supposed to be a doctor but holy hell, she's so dumb and acts like a damn kid. In moments that could just blow over and get both of them killed she's pissed that she doesn't get her dude's whole attention and storms off. As one does.
Zeth is just violent and annoying.
Their relationship is so damn disordered and abusive that reading the sex scenes nearly hurt. The dude is taking advantage of her all the goddamn time but apparently that's okay because he's hot and rich, so he get's a pass of course. He fucking stalked her and bought her virginity, wtf. He kills people for a living but I guess that's fine as long as he's got a big dick, is handsome and doesn't beat her. I can't even write "treats her okay", because he absolutely doesn't.
Then the plot holes, weird logic and just plain mistakes like Sloane saying a name before she even knows it. Or her magic panties, which the douchebag takes off and then takes off again a page later because why not.
My eyes turned into a goddamn carousel because of how often I rolled them.
